About this event...

The epic retro-everything party and fundraiser is coming back! A fun night of food, music, cars, costumes and prizes with an 80s and 90s spin. The ultimate evening reliving great memories with old friends all for a great cause.

Back in the mid 80s, DJ groups and dances were all the rage amongst teens and pre-teens. As the dance, hip-hop and house music scene began to emerge, the creation of "DJ Groups" also gre in popularity. DJ Groups were a  small group of young entrpreneurs with a passion for music that hosted dance parties at local venues and became popular weekend events. These "dances" were not sancioned by high-schools and eventually evolved into what became known as "raves".

In 2017, the first retro reunion party was to be held at the Knights of Columbus - the exact venue where attendees had partied 30 years prior! Around the same time, my mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer, and the reunion party quickly became a retro reunion and fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. That event was extremely successful with over 330 attendees raising just over $16,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.

The following year, the venue had to be bigger and was changed to the 707 Galaxy Club - this was another popular venue for dances in the 1980s and provided the same level of nostalgia while also being able to accomodate up to 500 people. In total, 3 events have been held at this venue hosting over 1300 people and raising over $101,000 to date!

Join us for the 4th visit to this iconic venue for even more food, fun, music cars and prizes!

I hope to see you there.
